Lead-Lined Drywall

Leadex Group lead-lined drywall system is designed to shield walls in x-ray rooms in dental, chiropractic and other medical diagnostic imaging facilities. 

We manufacture standard 1/2" or 5/8” fire-rated drywall in 8, 10 or 12 feet, laminated with a single and uniform lead sheet with thicknesses ranging from 1/32" to 1/8" to meet physics requirements.

To complete the wall shielding system we offer:

  • 2” and 4” wide lead batten strips of sheet lead, provided to shield the seam where two pieces of leaded drywall met on the same wall or at a corner.
  • Lead sheet pieces to shield electrical, plumbing, medical gas and other drywall cut-outs.

The process utililized to manufacture the lead lined boards, ensures the protection of the front side of the gypsum board from scratches and stains.

With a side color code and a label indicating the lead thickness, the lead lined boards are easily identifiable.
